Remove the 1px focus indicator around widgets in dark theme

I assume this is a legacy from breeze dark but anyway it's the major inconsistency between gtk adwaita dark and qt adwaita dark. I'm using qt5ct and tried to remove this from the qss hacks there by applying border: none to many kinds of widgets but to no avail.

Is there any way to remove that using the stylesheets?

Not just the dark theme but the light one too suffers from this.
