There doesn't seem to be any link to github on the docs to get to this repo if they found the docs first. An "Edit on Github" corner banner thingie would be a typical way to go. I think if you switched to the readthedocs/default theme you'd get that for free.

Actually, I should disable this repo since I merged most of this in the Nixpkgs manual (unstable/master, not stable/16.03). See http://hydra.nixos.org/job/nixpkgs/trunk/manual/latest
