Unable to save edits. Cannot acquire a lock. Uploads not making it to OSM Server

Hi all,

Working with ArcGIS 10.5 Desktop - Basic Edition. Windows 10 x64.

Process:

• Download small area using Download OSM Tool
• Apply Definition Query to only show roads (highway <>'')
• Add OSM Editor Extension to line feature class
• Start editing and perform edits.
• Observe records being added to revisions tbale
• When I go to save edits, I get the message Unable to save edits. Cannot acquire a lock.
• Stop editing without saving and the edits remain but the revision table loses all records of edits.
• Upload OSM Data - log indicates the upload was successful but edits never make it to server. I don't see any updates online after hours.

No other ArcMap or ArcCatalog instances are open. Add OSM data downloaded to/stored in a file geodatabase.

Workflow looks good. Yes, you do need the save operation in order to commit any transactions in the revision table to the database. Once you have the editor extension assigned (you only need to do it once - you know that it is attached when the different looking attribute editor appears and the OSM legal note at the start of your edit session), close ArcMap and re-open to begin editing.
