Cannot add new road to create a new Network Dataset

I'm trying to add in a new road to test accessibility in Network Analyst but every time I add a new road and create OSM Network Dataset I get errors such as "No route from location "Graphic Pick 1" to location "Graphic Pick 2" if I create a new route using the new roads in Network Analyst. Any ideas?
