Would add new command option for cghostblock, placing. /cghost placing enabled /cghost placing disabled Turning it on would make it so that every block the player places is a ghost block and maybe adds a little icon indicating that this is active would show up on the side of the screen.

iirc. ClientCommands doesn't want to add GUI. they just want command. Maybe adding GUI require them to add a bunch of code

@barraIhsan it doesn't have to be a GUI, and plus, the enchantment cracker has a text on the side of the screen when you open an enchanting table. The idea of the icon or text or whatever is to indicate if you have ghostblock placing on or not, because you could be building a house but then relog and it's all gone because you forgot to turn it off.

Hmm, this is a bit niche. Which situation did you come across where you wanted to use this?

Earthcomputer avatar May 13 '21 20:05 Earthcomputer

I think it would be easier to place a few ghost blocks that use a fill command in some situations.

Why do people want to place ghost blocks so easily?

Earthcomputer avatar Sep 01 '21 17:09 Earthcomputer

but /cghostblock already exists

Please read my suggestion

AliahX avatar Sep 03 '21 06:09 AliahX

I literally suggested an option such as (cghostblock place)

AliahX avatar Sep 03 '21 06:09 AliahX

/cghostblock set ~ ~ ~

krispyking24 avatar Sep 03 '21 15:09 krispyking24

Mate please read my suggestion. I KNOW that cghostblock exists and I am suggesting an option that you can run /cghostblock placing so you don't have to run a command every time you want to place a block. I am very aware that it exists and if you actually read my suggestion you would know.

AliahX avatar Sep 05 '21 20:09 AliahX

Please stop being rude, I did read your suggestion. My question was what is the use case. Being rude about it isn't going to encourage me to implement it for you.

Earthcomputer avatar Sep 05 '21 20:09 Earthcomputer

Sorry I didn't mean to be rude, and I was also talking to @krispyking24, as he explained to me what I already knew and wanted to build off of. apologies.

My idea for adding it was that it would just be easier than typing /cghostblock fill or /cghostblock set every time you need to place a ghostblock

AliahX avatar Sep 06 '21 21:09 AliahX

But why do you need to place ghost blocks so often, that is what I don't understand

Earthcomputer avatar Sep 07 '21 13:09 Earthcomputer

I mean, you don't have to add this feature if you don't want people using it, I just think it would be a great addition to the cghostblock command and make it easier

AliahX avatar Sep 13 '21 09:09 AliahX

I think people will abuse it and use it for bridging or something

barraIhsan avatar Sep 13 '21 09:09 barraIhsan

but won't they be kicked for "flying not enabled"

krispyking24 avatar Sep 13 '21 09:09 krispyking24

@barraIhsan There already exists functionality to fill an area of blocks which would in practive be even faster over larger distances. If that is a worry then I don't see the point in having imlpemented the command at all, so why half-ass it?
