[OLS4 bug] Ontology "search id..." restricted to one single ontology
trafficstars
Summary
When filtering ontologies in the search through OLS4 user interface, the set of ontologies to "check" is restricted to the "checked ones", rather than the whole set of ontologies (including both checked and unchecked). This makes the search by ontology ID only usable when the user wants to restrict by a single ontology, but not for a set of ontologies.
Steps to reproduce
- Search anything in OLS4 (e.g.
egfr-related lung cancer) - In the "Ontology" section to the left, write an ontology ID and check it (e.g.
EFO) - Once checked, try to check another ontology. For example, write within the
search id...box another ontology id (e.g.MONDO). - The set of ontologies is restricted to the initial one, and the search will display no other ontology, because it only searches in the set of ontologies that one has checked (
EFOin the example).
Comparison with OLS3
Previously, if I wanted to restrict by set of ontologies (e.g. EFO and MONDO), I would type one, check it, and then type the other and check it.
