[Request] Mastadon comments like in G-Droid
It is a very important feature in an app store to see what other users think of an app I think, and using the same strategy as Gdroid uses means users of both would benefit.
G-droid tries to solve the problem of Fdroid not having reviews by hosting or using some mastadon instance and integrating with those comments into their app.
Their app is also garbage with the worst UI I've ever seen and also no dark theme.

You could add your own comments in the more screen, or maybe have a (+) button below the one or two preview comments which should always be shown (if they exist).

Awesome, glad to hear it! Considering the issue is 8 years old on F-droid's side, I'm not confident they'll ever fix it themselves.
I think you should use the exact same method as G-droid so users of both apps benefit from each others reviews (and because sharing to a mastadon app seems like pretty easy to implement and requires no hosting, and hopefully reading from mastadon is also easy)
The lack of reviews is one of the things I've never liked about the third-party stores. Just like the Play Store, they have their share of garbage apps, and not having any reviews, comments, etc makes it harder to sift through it all, not to mention being able to know if you tried an app before. For example, with the Play Store, I'll periodically go through looking for new apps for various things, and I don't have to waste time redownloading and trying apps I tried before and left a negative review on. With F/G-Droid, Droid-ify, etc, there's no way to do this.
Well with G-droid there is a way to do it, that's half the point of the app. Just, as I mentioned before, the rest of the app is so bad I don't want to ever touch it.
I might try to do this myself, as I really want this feature.
