Allow admin to update RSVP for an applicant
Brief description of the issue
An applicant accidentally clicked on Declined RSVP link instead of Confirmed RSVP link. I tried to find a way to change their RSVP confirmation from "RSVP: Rejected invitation" to "RSVP - Confirmed Attendance", but there's no option on the admin panel.
I know there's no way but to email the individual manually via email, and that I can't generate another RSVP link, will there be a future addition to allow organisers to re-generate RSVP links for these edge cases?
I searched the FAQ and and the organisers guidebook and didn't find any answers.
What did you expect to happen?
Drop down on applications page and have all the status to choose from so organisers can change if there's a mistake with applicant clicking on the wrong link.
A quick update, as I have only 1 applicant who rejected RSVP, a workaround is to send them the RSVP link via messaging on the platform.
But if I have more rejected RSVPs, I won't be able to generate RSVP link to a selection of individuals who made the mistake of clicking on wrong link without emailing everyone with that status the re-generated link (which may cause confusion).
Regenerating the RSVP link so they can accept the invitation, but when clicked by applicant didn't work and got the following error instead.
This is related to RSVP workflow issue, see https://github.com/DjangoGirls/djangogirls/issues/430
The workaround for this now is to create a separate registration list to keep track e.g. google sheet.
I hope the RSVP workflow and ability to to change RSVP statuses by admins is fixed, so all admin tasks are centralised in the djangogirls platform. Thanks.
hi! @kewtree1408 and I experienced the same when hosting the last Django Girls - Amsterdam chapter.
