[Feature Request] - Website / Applications
Hi there, Thank you for developing your remote desktop gateway. I it very useful. As an extra feature, would you consider adding support for accessing websites through the gateway? Indeed, some resources, such as intranet, wikis, etc. can have their access limited to the internal network. Being able to access them through the gateway, without having to start a full desktop session, would be very practical. Kind regards, Lat
Hi Lat,
Thank you for opening this issue.
Are you referring to the free standalone version?
We did explore this possibility, but unfortunately, there are technical limitations that prevent us from implementing this feature directly into the web application as a web client. I understand—it’s ironic that we can't support website proxying… in a browser.
That said, this feature is already supported when using a native client like Remote Desktop Manager:
Devolutions Gateway can be used with supported connection entry types (RDP, SSH, VNC, ARD, SCP, SFTP, PowerShell, Telnet, and websites) within Remote Desktop Manager and supported data sources (Devolutions Server, Devolutions Hub Business).
P.S.: For future feature requests, we recommend posting on our dedicated forum, as we don’t use GitHub to track user requests.
