UI on small screens: the side menu is clipped

Bug description The side menu (aka sidebar, navbar) is clipped on small screens. It is not possible to access some menu items. See the screenshot.

Steps to reproduce See the screenshot.

Expected behavior It is always possible to access all menu items.
