grpc-java disconnected spans between server and clients

We use the datadog java agent to send traces from grpc-java Scala microservices.

We have noticed that the spans of two services (A & B where service A calls service B) are not shown connected in datadog APM traces. We could see the incoming spans of the requests coming to the services A & B on their individual APM pages but we don't see these two spans connected on the service A's APM page.
