Brief summary

(KUbuntu LTS 22.04): System monitor reports two different "Temperature 1" indicators

How reproducible

100% reproducible.

System monitor, when asked for temperatures, will list the individual cores, the CPU temp, and then two "Temperature 1"'s, with no indication as to what they are.

How to reproduce

In system monitor, create a graph, and search for sensor "temp", and see what comes back.

Expected behavior

Clearly labeled sensors that tells what the temperature is measuring

Actual behavior

No idea what the temperature is measuring.

These are likely ACPI Thermal Zone sensors. First one is CPU temp, second is GPU. This has been removed so it will not be present in the next releases

Is it perhaps addressed by the new ACPI driver? Let's update the state of this issue in the upcoming release.

Couldn't find any duplicated sensors on Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS on NV41PZ Alderlake and NS70PU Alderlake with Dasharo v1.8.0-rc3 in the output of sensors command. Might be worth checking how it looks like on Kubuntu
