Wake by USB keyboard not working in Qubes

Dasharo version

v0.9.0 (coreboot+Heads)

Waking up from suspend (S3)

Brief summary

Pressing keys on the keyboard while the system is in S3 does not wake it up.

How reproducible

100% (in Heads-based FW)

How to reproduce

  • boot into Qubes
  • ensure USB keyboard is connected and working
  • put system to sleep
  • press any keyboard key to wake the system up

Expected behavior

System wakes up

Actual behavior

Nothing happens

Additional context

Could be a matter of OS configuration? On the other hand, same tests on UEFI apparently passed without extra configuration.

Same for OptiPlex 7010/9010 v0.1.0-rc1, both Qubes and Ubuntu

Is it even a firmware-related issue? Or should we link to a QubesOS issue, such as this one, or another more suitable one?

@BeataZdunczyk I think it is a firmware issue after all, I've confirmed it's the same with Ubuntu so I don't think Qubes is to blame in the case of OptiPlex - though it might be in the case of MSI. I've set up a separate issue: https://github.com/Dasharo/dasharo-issues/issues/1044

Not working on Novacustom NUCBOX with Dasharo v0.9.0-rc4 too. I've used QubesOS v4.3.0-rc1.
