Unable to launch games with S1SD and Flashcard kernel on 3DS, while they launch fine directly from Flashcard

Expected behavior

The SD card TWilight Menu autoboots the Flashcard TWilight Menu, and the games load through the kernel.

Actual behavior

The SD card TWilight Menu autoboots the Flashcard TWilight Menu, and trying to load any games shows a screen saying save is being created, and then it loads TWilight Menu once again.

If the game uses widescreen, TWilight Menu is loaded with widescreen, however unlike other similar issues, this is not permanent and loading any other DS game causes it to revert to 4:3.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Install TWilight Menu to flashcard. Enable SCFG and Slot-1 SD card support.
  2. Enable autoboot to flashcard.
  3. Try to launch a game.

Notes

The flashcard kernel does load games successfully as loading TWilight Menu on the flashcard from the HOME screen works fine.

If there are any logs that would be relevant, I can upload them.

Have you tried turning off Update recently played list?

Is the booting type "Direct" or "Thru nds-bs"? Try toggling this setting.

This is not related to the issue.

I had hoped that maybe this was an autoboot or DLDI issue, that had gotten fixed with newer updates, but no such luck. I have a TWLMenu log here, but I don't think it will be very useful. Version: v27.12.3.
