Hostname changed

Open luser opened this issue 6 years ago • 4 comments

It looks like the hostname for the Lifeboat network is now play.lbsg.net per: https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Featured_servers

However, I couldn't get Minecraft on the Switch to connect to my local server when I override that hostname to point to my local server IP in DNS, so I'm not sure if something else has changed.

Thanks for letting me know. It should work by changing all references (including the filename) from db.mco.lbsg.net to play.lbsg.net. I'll see about taking some time to test this out

Would be nice to have some way to automate updating all those references if needed. Something I can look in to when I get some time :D Thanks again!

I have successfully set up the DNS resolving workaround and I want to inform you, that the hostname still is "mco.lbsg.net".

I was struggling a bit as well with my setup of the DNS resolving in Pfsense, but in the end it worked :-).

Thx Graham for your work!
