Well, since it's just a wrapper around tapwith a ternary statement, probably not. But I do like it. 🙂

I did consider doing it with operate, but then thought perhaps not.

What I can do, if you feel like there's a use case, is open a PR that does this correctly?

The implementation is correct and fine. I don't think there's much to change. On the core library side, I think we're more likely to remove operators than add them.

@benlesh what ever happened to "community projects" area or something that we were talking about? do you think it's time to add "community projects" section to the docs!
