Not saving after sorting

Tried with the same plugins, wp version, theme and php version, could not replicate.

The issue comes most likely because of object caching, there is a fix that will go live on the next update here https://github.com/WPChill/simple-custom-post-order/commit/134f7d9273a39375dbc4a52b44cdb7516bc4f908
