Smooth Resize seems to be the cause of crashes

For weeks now I've been using TaskbarXI v1.0.4.0. I've always had the following settings:

I've had consistent crashing at least once a day. This left the Taskbar centered and such, but it would not change size when I open more icons.

However, for the past few days now I've changed only one setting, Smooth Resize, and it has yet to crash a single time.
