Feature request- open image by clicking point in scatter plot

Open bethac07 opened this issue 9 years ago • 5 comments

As of right now, I think the only way to access the image designated by a particular point on the scatter plot is to make some number of named gates and move them around over the images you want to open and say "Show images in gate"; it'd be nice to just be able to double- or right-click on a dot and have the image open up.

I used to just use the lasso tool to draw around the point(s) which selects them. Then you can right-click and open the image associated with the selected points using the context menu that comes up. Does that do the job?

We are being greedy and would prefer the more intuitive, less-clicking behavior described (but yes, that is a good workaround).

There's also this problem: https://github.com/CellProfiler/CellProfiler-Analyst/issues/167. Booo!

#167 :( 👍 . I think Lasso works on Windows but it has very strange wx3 problems on MacOS (selecting sth different than actually lasso'ed). I could try to only enable it in Windows first.

Sounds like a plan.
