This would involve bypassing the mobile phone altogether (whether by using the WiFi hotspot or using Bluetooth to connect to an app). It might be a more powerful approach. Prometeo has access to a Spanish telecom lab to validate.

This has now shifted to a discussion of how the tethered phone, rather than the IoT device, leverages 5G.
