Unexpected crash, with no error message

Open tobiasht opened this issue 4 years ago • 9 comments

Describe the bug | 问题描述 On version 3.3.2, the application unexpectedly quits/crashes without any sort of error message. It sometimes happens while scrolling, resulting in the scroll direction suddenly changing direction. There is no message telling me that the app unexpectedly quits, but the app icon disappears from the Status bar. When I lunch the app again, it works as normal. This has happened 6 times this week and sometimes twice a day.

To Reproduce | 如何重现 I am unable to consistently reproduce the error. Is there a way to read out the crash log, for further debugging?

@Caldis I've been using this version since yesterday and still experienced a silent crash today, unfortunately.

This has happened to me several times in the last week. M1/Monterey 12.0.1 I'd be happy to provide log output if such a thing exists.

For those having this issue, I recommend checking out https://github.com/noah-nuebling/mac-mouse-fix

Mos is amazing, but unfortunately this problem gets in the way a bit. I'd love to contribute a fix but I wouldn't even know where to start, so I had to switch apps. Worth a shot if it bothers you.

Wow, that is the greatest recommendation I have gotten in a while! The additional feature of holding down the scroll wheel to drag between desktops is amazing. Such a timesaver and makes me miss the touch pad less when docked.

Adding to this thread, also experiencing silent crashes with MOS. Was able to find the crash logs within Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports, however cannot discern anything specific as I am unfamiliar with these logs.

Application Specific Information: abort() called Thread 0 Crashed:: Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread

Will be willing to attach error log file if requested :)
