[ SPACE - doesn't insert a space
The commands [ SPACE and ] SPACE should probably be explained differently. They don't insert a space character - they insert a new line. How you might want to say that is a good question, but on a cheat sheet it's confusing to call something by the name of a different thing.
(The existing explanation is probably a good trick for remembering what the command does, but it's misleading as an explanation.)
Thanks.
What do you think about having a table for [ more spcefically. I'm hesitant to do that for the most part, but there are a lot of comands with [ as a leader that describe "before/after". paste, paran, buffer, etc.
Running with this: There are a small number of keys that act as spacemacs-specific leader keys in their own right. [ could be one.
How do you feel about putting up a PR? I find that issue raisers often close an issue better than I would have thought to do.
I'm agnostic on the bigger issues you raised - I think as long as people are finding what they look for easily enough, those parts are up to you.
I noticed that the words I found misleading are exactly the words in some documentation somewhere - a bit frustrating, not your fault.
I think I'd describe these as "Add a blank line above, but don't move point" and "Add a blank line below, but don't move point". Cumbersome words, but I hope they're accurate. Maybe my descriptions are too long for a cheat sheet.
