Why is Paper listed as a plugin?
I'm curious... Looking at the plugin list on the website can you find "Paper" at 125,635 servers in the list. The thing is that Paper obviously isn't a plugin... It even states that by having it as "Server Implementation" in the "Software" column.
So why is paper listed in that list when it is clearly not a plugin?
fwiw this is true for all server impl and most likely a limitation of the old frontend

Interesting...
The naming has historic reasons. Initially, there were only "real" plugins and software like "Bukkit / Spigot," "Bungeecord," and "Sponge," where this naming made sense.
Paper is not in the "Global Stats," because these are not sent by the software itself, but are the cumulative data of all plugins of this software. The "Server Implementation" is a special software without a global stats page (because it wouldn't make sense to group data from different server implementations).
In the new frontend (WIP) this naming has been changed from "plugin" to "service" and "software" to "platform."
