GUI not working - resets to default constantly

Installed via ppa. System info: kubuntu 18.04 - device: area 51m

When opening the gui, it goes through the whole welcome thing again. When applying or modifying any settings, the gui stays the same i.e. it goes back to whatever it is by default. not sure what the issue is here, viper cli is working fine.

I can include any other logs if need be

I am facing the same issue.

UPDATE:

I managed to fix the issue by removing ~/.config/viper4linux/ directory and restarting viper4linux-gui!
