Was looking for an alternative to the abandoned Glype proxy and found this project. Unfortunately, this project appears to be equally as abandoned as Glype. But it does at least work somewhat better on modern Linuxes.

Unlike Glype, this does run on Ubuntu 22.04 with PHP 8. Still buggy as hell:

• Some images/styles do not work properly on many pages
• HTTPS detection broken when behind a reverse proxy (easily fixed)
• Outdated and unmaintained plugins which no longer work

Only usable for really basic stuff (text, simple html, but not videos) but still better than not being able to view the page at all. Use at your own risk. I personally would not run this on a public-facing server without some kind of password protection.
