Brief description of what went wrong

When using the In-App Browser in the Twitter app on Android (Pixel 2 XL), the results get interesting. Upon following the link, the statistics are reported accurately (see report like #1). Note, this is likely entirely an issue created by the browser, but submitted for tracking purposes.

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Follow the link to mybrowser.fyi from Twitter (using the in-app browser)
  2. Note that the results are correct (see referenced report #1).
  3. Click the Three-Dot Menu and choose "Desktop site". Page refreshes.
  4. Note that the Device is now reported as "Linux / Linux 64". (See report #2)
  5. Click the Three-Dot menu and deselect "Desktop Site". Page refreshes.
  6. Note that Device is still listed as "Linux / Linux 64". (See report link #3 and additional note below)

Any other notes

One more interesting thing to note. I listed all three report links even though the 2nd and 3rd are nearly identical. This may be an issue with the in-app browser as well. When switching to the Desktop Site a new report link was generated. However, when switching back to the Non-Desktop site, it retains the same report link except that it reverts to "HTTP" instead of "HTTPS".
