Even though I just updated the module and restarted my phone, when I visit a website that checks your browser version, it says I am using an old version of the default webview, not the latest Bromite. Is this expected? install

Logs can be found here.

@yephny what website? And iirc bromite fudges the user agent.

This, for example. Visit it in Webview. It shows the default webview installed on my phone.

Do you think something went wrong in the installation?

Sorry for the delayed response, but what shows in developer options?

androidacy-user avatar Nov 03 '22 18:11 androidacy-user

@androidacy-user The old/default one, with no other options.

What ROM and version?

androidacy-user avatar Nov 07 '22 21:11 androidacy-user

It's a fork of LineageOS 17.1.

It says Bromite is not the system's currently selected WebView provider in "WebView DevTools".

Don't rely on that. Are you on Android 12 or newer?

It's Android 10.
