Can't build after running.

I'm currently building an application with Cordova 8. The utility does indeed generate icons, and they're in plaforms/ios/AppName/Images.xcassets/AppIcon.appiconset but cordova build fails. Only after I remove the platform and re-install the platform is it useable again. Please advise.
