Show (or document?) simple status (running, idle, error)

Apologies if this is in the docs somewhere, but is it possible to see if a query is running?

I have some complex long-running queries and it would be useful to have a spinning wheel somewhere or something in the status bar that at MVP just says something simple like running, idle, error. Or even an icon.

Hey, just chiming in to say that I came here to say the same, and to see if anything was in the works. Little or no indication to whether a query is running, has timed out, got an error etc which would be nice to have on larger queries. +1 on this feature.
