Improvement of Audit Log for PIMs

Required Information

AEM version: 6.5.4 and ACS AEM Commons Version: 4.3.2

The Audit Log report is unable to provide insight on PIM nodes, apart from the activation date and the e-number of user who published it. We need to see more details in the PIM nodes' history, like workflows that ran, etc. http://localhost:4502/apps/acs-commons/content/audit-log-search/_jcr_content.auditlogsearch.json

Is it possible to improve the Audit Log to show more information for PIMs?

Intended Outcome:

When a super-user is searching for the history report of a PIM node in the Audit Log, he/she gets the list of the modifications that were made on PIM nodes as well - in the same way as Audit Log provides this information in the case of normal pages. If possible, the report gives even more information.

Requirement:

In Audit Log, list out the "Modifications" in case of PIM nodes as well Find out if more information could be displayed about PIM nodes in Audit Log. If more information can be displayed, what that information is.

Queries:

Can we get the modification details for other page events as well? Can we add more events to reports ? Can we add more attributes / columns for each entry in response ?

@davidjgonzalez - Could this enhancement be done as part of ACS upgrade in latest version?

@rutujasbhandari are these PIM audit events tracked as cq:AuditEvent nodes in the JCR? This is how the Audit Log reporting works in ACS Commons today. If these events are tracked elsewhere, i expect it would be a signficant re-write of this feature to accomodate both.

If you just want to report on PIM data thats in AEM, have you looked at creating a custom report using Report Builder?
