I also get deadlock issues a lot and at first think it's pytorch2.1, sometimes even after a reboot

I got the same issue and solved. If you are using proxy applications (clash for example), try other profiles. For some profiles didn't specify the rules for sd-webui.

you can use CombyUI. It is better than WebUI.
