you'd better try with chrome secret mode. Some of your chrome extension might interrupt with jspaint

What do you mean when you say the canvas freezes? Is this the same issue as https://github.com/1j01/jspaint/issues/328? What browser and operating system are you using?

If you're using Apple Silicon M1 on a Chromium browser then it's a known bug in Chromium and the only workaround is chrome://flags/#disable-accelerated-2d-canvas via https://github.com/1j01/jspaint/issues/328#issuecomment-1832923230

...which sucks because it makes any nice browser effect very laggy
