Disable for certain autocomplete attribute values

The current HTML5 specification recommends a set of values other than on and off for the autocomplete attribute on text fields. Gecko doesn’t use these values to influence autocomplete results – Chrome does – but they can still serve as hints to AVIM about whether Vietnamese diacritics would be welcome in the text field. Currently AVIM ignores text fields with type="url" and type="email", depending on preferences. It should also ignore the following standardized values for autocomplete:

  • new-password
  • current-password
  • postal-code (because even VNPost codes are ASCII-only)
  • cc-number
  • cc-exp
  • cc-exp-month
  • cc-exp-year
  • cc-csc
  • transaction-currency
  • transaction-amount
  • language
  • bday
  • bday-day
  • bday-month
  • bday-year
  • url (depending on preferences)
  • photo (depending on preferences)
  • tel
  • tel-country-code
  • tel-national
  • tel-area-code
  • tel-local
  • tel-local-prefix
  • tel-local-suffix
  • tel-extension
  • email (depending on preferences)
  • impp (depending on preferences)
